ENVIRONMENT, SOCIAL, GOVERNANCE PHILOSOPHY (ESG)

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives have become essential and viable activities of corporations because of the on-going increase in concerns, awareness and interest for environmental, social, and governance issues. The exploitation and depletion of natural resources and consequential alterations in climatic circumstances is also impacting the ecosystem at a rate that we as global citizens cannot ignore. This situation have compelled corporate entities to review their roles and responsibilities in resource depletion and take a more active role on conservation related matters. In view of this PMC have also recently given more focus on sustainability and governance by incorporating ESG as an important overall company objective.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: REDUCING CARBON FOOTPRINT

Putra Medical Centre has over the years been actively involved in numerous Community engagement, for it is one of the key principles of our corporate social responsibility (CSR), alongside the concerns for our community, the marketplace and our employee’s. In such compassionate quest we endeavour to achieve a holistic effect by implementing effective community programmes and simultaneously addressing environmental friendly issues. Even our Carpark has been installed with Solar PV panels, in keeping with global policies of generating environment friendly energy.

Fungates Foundation (Superkids Care Centre)

Putra Medical Centre (PMC) has joined the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to celebrate the Chinese New Year with orphans at the Fungates Foundation (Superkids Care Centre). The event was lively with a mesmerizing lion dance performance from the Dong Jiang Yue Zhe Ba Lion and Dragon Dance Association, and was also joined by Dato’ Chng Boon Chye, Alor Setar City Council Member. As a sign of love, Putra Medical Centre expressed a message of concern and support by presenting souvenirs to the orphans at Fungates Foundation.

Tadika Ceria Bistari, Dewan MBAS

Putra Medical Centre (PMC) was honored to attend Tadika Ceria Bistari’s graduation ceremony, Dream Job Factory, at Dewan MBAS. At the same time, PMC collaborated on a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative during the event. Held on January 22, 2025, the event provided free basic health screenings and dietitian consultations to visitors. A big thank you to Tadika Ceria Bistari for the invitation!

Putra Medical Centre (PMC) was honored to collaborate on a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program with Alliance Bank Alor Setar. The event, held on January 18, 2025, provided free basic health screenings and dietitian consultations to visitors. Welcoming 40 attendees, the program was a meaningful initiative to promote health and wellness within the community. A big thank you to Alliance Bank Alor Setar for the collaboration and to everyone who contributed to making this program a success!

Jabatan Pendaftaran Negeri Kedah

16 January 2025

On 16 January 2025, Putra Medical Centre organized a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to appreciate the staff at Jabatan Pendaftaran Negeri Kedah. Dr. Mohamad Anuar, Medical Consultant & Interventional Cardiologist at Putra Medical Centre, delivered a heart health talk. There was also a basic health screening, physiotherapy advice, and nutrition consultation for the 40 staff members involved.

Kirin Cup Football Tournament

11 – 12 January 2025

The PMC medical team is honored to provide medical support at the Chinese New Year Kirin Cup Football Tournament held at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) on 11th and 12th January 2025. Throuhout the first day, our dedicated team attended to nearly 12 players with minor injuries, all of whom received prompt on-site treatment to ensure they could continue playing safely.

In conjunction with Wakaf Day, Putra Medical Centre (PMC) was honored to collaborate in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program with Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), Alor Setar. The event was held on 10th January 2025, offered free health screenings and BMI consultations to visitors. The program, which welcomed 46 attendees, was a meaningful effort to promote health and wellness within the community.
