FAQs
KKLIU stands for “Kelulusan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia Untuk Iklan Ubat” — approval from the Ministry of Health for a healthcare advertisement.
In Malaysia, any advertisement for medicines, medical devices or healthcare services shown to the public must be approved before it is published. Approval is given by the Medicine Advertisements Board, which sits under the Ministry of Health, under the Medicines (Advertisement and Sale) Act 1956. Approved material is issued a number in the form KKLIU 0000/YYYY, and that number has to be displayed on the material itself.
What the number tells you is that the wording, the claims and the images in that piece were reviewed and approved before it was published — so what you are reading has been checked for accuracy.
What it does not do is set our prices, rate the quality of the treatment, or act as an endorsement of any particular procedure. It applies to the advertisement, not to the service being advertised.
Approvals also expire, and material has to be resubmitted when it changes.
The price shown for each package covers exactly the items listed under "What's included" on that package.
Anything outside that list is charged separately. The most common ones are the medical record fee, consultation with a specialist where the package does not already include one, and take-home medication.
A price can also change if more is needed once you are seen — extra tests, a longer procedure, different materials, or a complication during treatment. Where that happens we will tell you before proceeding wherever it is possible to do so.
If you want certainty on the final figure, ask the consultant or our billing counter before you go ahead.
Nearly every package excludes the medical record fee — RM10 for a new patient, RM3 for a returning patient.
Depending on the package, these are also commonly excluded:
• Consultation fee, where the package does not name a consultation
• Take-home medication
• Repeat or follow-up visits
• Complications, or any additional procedure needed on the day
Each package page lists its own exclusions under "Not included".
Most packages are done by appointment, because they depend on doctor availability, clinic hours and room or equipment readiness.
Some general services, such as a basic blood test, can often be done more flexibly, subject to laboratory operations.
For anything involving a procedure, please book ahead.
Not always. General packages such as routine blood tests and basic screening are supported by most doctors. Some packages are limited to particular consultants, and some specialists do not take part in every package.
Please confirm when you book. If your chosen doctor is on leave, we can offer an alternative consultant, or you can reschedule.
Not automatically. Some packages are claimable, some require a specialist consultation or documentation of medical necessity, and wellness or screening packages often fall outside what a policy will cover.
Before admission, please check your panel status with your insurer and obtain a Guarantee Letter where one is needed. Approval is your insurer's decision, not ours.
A package is a fixed set of items, so it cannot be rebuilt. Additional services can usually be added on top of the base package, subject to your consultant's approval.
Treat the package as a starting point, and discuss anything further with the doctor.
No. Some are age-specific, some are gender-specific, and some are only appropriate for a particular condition. Our team will advise on eligibility when you book or during consultation.
We accept cash, debit and credit cards, online bank transfer, and selected e-wallets. We also accept Guarantee Letters from approved insurance panels.
Please confirm the accepted payment methods for your package when you book.
