Putra Medical Centre and Lalita 999 Group Raise The Bar With Dietitics Focus and Pre-Ramadan Food Giveaways

February 2025

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Putra Medical Centre Alor Setar once more ties up with our longstanding philanthropic ally, Lalita 999 Group, to drive home the importance of dietetics in nutrition to promote personal health and wellness. A food distribution initiative with the main aim to personify the nobleness of the fasting month as well as support Kedah’s community with free health screenings, the two-in-one push commences in 11 days.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Putra Medical Centre Alor Setar and Lalita 999 Group have partnered for the rollout of the hospital’s latest edition of free health screenings and dietetics consultations with our specialist consultants. Set to ensue on 28 February 2025, while open to the public, the programme’s participants will be afforded a three-part series of tests to include blood pressure, glucose, and body mass index checks at no cost. The above one-day execution is being hosted by PMC as an homage to the upcoming Ramadan season.

Participants will receive a complimentary health screening featuring blood pressure checks and more.

Dietitics and Privilege Giveaways

With the fasting month set to be observed by millions of Malaysians, human hearts are being warmed. Beyond the aforementioned complimentary offering, walk-ins will receive thoughtful giveaways featuring rice and dry vermicelli. Allocated for the underprivileged, these choice essential supplies are meant to reach 300 recipients. As energy-rich Malaysian staples, the selection of said items, while fully sponsored by Lalita 999 Group, complements the dietetics and nutrition theme of the overall project.

Lalita 999 Group Themed Collaborations

“The free health screenings and dietetics consultations with our specialist consultants that will kick off at the close of this month are our way of giving back to the community as well as taking our preventive care footprint further. For our project partner, Lalita 999 Group, it is about feeding the underprivileged and spreading the wave of fitness through food and more,” said Lee Yong Qian, PMC Strategic Director. He explained that this programme is part of Lalita 999’s ongoing commitment to community outreach.

The company recently collaborated with PMC in September 2024 for the Bright Smile and Little Heroes programme, an initiative that sponsored free dental check-ups for 43 orphans of Forgetters Superflow Foundation. Beyond just check-ups, the endeavour ensured that children with dental issues received immediate treatment the next day. PMC dentists conducted the necessary treatments, with the full cost of these covered by Lalita 999 Group. The aim was good oral healthcare for underprivileged kids.

For Lalita 999 Group, it is about feeding the underprivileged and spreading the wave of fitness via food.

    Nationwide Charity-focused Initiatives

The Lalita 999 Group actively participates in philanthropy, often collaborating with various non-profit organisations over charity fundraisers and various forms of aid. Carried out across the country, these altruistic efforts include the distribution of household provisions like food items and other supplies. In alliance with Putra Medical Centre and a multitude of other organisations, Lalita 999 Group has also participated numerous other similar rollouts, with a key one being the donation of medical equipment.

Any collaboration between Lalita 999 Group and Putra Medical Centre Alor Setar began via a personal connection. Madam Lalita, Lalita 999 Group founder, was initially a patient of Dato’ Dr. Lim Tze Chou, a Putra Medical Centre obstetrics and gynaecology specialist, and also the hospital’s Clinical Director. During their conversations, it was realised that both shared a common goal—helping the community where support was needed. Where her vision and that of the hospital’s intersected, a strong alliance materialised between the two sides, with the brands partnering over numerous charitable initiatives.

    Complimentary Health Screenings

Scheduled to run from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on the designated day (28 February 2025), those interested are advised to perform a water-only fast (no solids) the night before. Once onsite, participants will join the queue for a full-fledged assessment by Putra Medical Centre’s panel of specialists featuring a team of deeply devoted doctors and nurses. These various forms of health checks will be conducted on PMC grounds. All persons from the public who walk in will be gifted a care package of rice and dry vermicelli.
