Putra Medical Centre conducted a Code Blue Drill as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the hospital’s preparedness in responding to emergency situations. The simulation involved a critical scenario in which a pregnant mother experienced bleeding followed by a sudden cardiac arrest, requiring immediate intervention to ensure the safety of both the mother and her unborn baby.
Upon activation of the Code Blue, the medical team comprising the Emergency Department, Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialists, nurses and support staff responded promptly and worked in close coordination. Each team member carried out their respective role in accordance with established procedures to ensure that emergency care was delivered smoothly and effectively.

Although conducted as a simulation, the drill was carried out with full commitment to assess the hospital’s level of preparedness, communication and teamwork across departments. Through the Code Blue Drill, Putra Medical Centre remains committed to strengthening the quality of its healthcare services and ensuring that patient safety remains a top priority.
